Active Citizenship Training Print PDF

Kerry Volunteer Centre is hosting free Training for Volunteers and Voluntary Organisations on Active Citizenship. The training workshop will take place from 10am-2.30pm, Monday 20th February 2012, The Abbeygate Hotel, Tralee and from 12.30pm-5.00pm, Tuesday 21st February 2012, at Killarney Asylum Seekers Initiative Centre(KASI), Unit 6, Old Credit Union Building, Beech Road, 91 New Street, Killarney

The training, entitled “After the Elections” will be delivered by the Vincentian Partnership for Social Justice. The objective of the training is  
•    to enable people to get to know their elected representatives
•    to identify important issues requiring the attention of their elected representatives
•    to develop a position paper on a particular issue
•    to enable attendees to effectively present their position paper and
•    to advocate for themselves on issues which are important to them or their organisations
